I had such a fun time talking with Amy Stoddart a few weeks ago. Check out my interview where she shares how she leverages her vision board in unique ways for some amazing MANIFESTING! It’s all coming true!!

Lisa:

Okay, Amy, what are you showing me right now?

Amy:

I’m showing you my vision board that I have in all different sizes, laminated, everywhere. There’s another one on my laptop, in my journal. Look, see, it’s there.

Lisa:

Oh, my gosh. I love it. I love how you have it so small.

Amy:

It’s so many places. Where is it? It’s literally everywhere? Look, it’s everywhere.

Lisa:

Oh my God. You’re my dream workshop attendee.

Amy:

It’s everywhere. I could pull out more. I have it everywhere in so many sizes.

Lisa:

That’s fantastic.

Amy:

You have to look at it all the time.

Lisa:

I love how you laminated it and it’s small. Did you turn that into a magnet?

Amy:

No, I just put sticky on it. It’s pocket size. So the idea is you always have it on you.

Lisa:

I might steal that.

Amy:

Steal it, steal it.

Lisa:

I’ve seen the card idea with like a mantra written on it and people put it in their wallet, especially when it’s around money stuff, to have it in your wallet. But I love –

Amy:

It’s so good to have in small sizes, because then it’s like… You just have to see a little bit, right? I have it stuck on my bedside, my night table. So when I wake up, I see it. I have it on my… I have it everywhere. Everywhere.

Lisa:

My God. Okay. So you rock, and you are living proof that by doing that, not just the vision board, but having it everywhere so it’s visible, that things are manifesting in amazing ways.

Amy:

Things are totally manifesting. Yeah. Things are totally manifesting in such crazy ways.

Lisa:

Okay. So share. Do you mind sharing?

Amy:

No, I don’t mind sharing. So when the lockdown hit, I just took inspired action. I’ve always had this dream of this cooking program that I’ve wanted to… It was first going to be a book. And then I had my kids and now I think it’s evolved into a program. So that’s always been at the back of my mind.

Lisa:

I remember you talking about that in the workshop.

Amy:

Yeah, I haven’t been on online. I don’t have a huge online presence. My face hasn’t been out there in a long time. So, COVID hits, and I just was like, oh my gosh, all these people are… It just hit me. And I was like, oh my gosh, all these people are at home cooking. They have to cook three meals a day, snacks. They can’t leave. They’re juggling work. They’re juggling parenting. Homeschool hadn’t quite hit then.

Amy:

And so I just hopped online and I started this Facebook group called ‘How To Cook Right Now’. And I just started doing videos. And it just really caught on. It was great, lots of interaction.

And then from that, I had enough of a following and a group that I decided at the early summer to launch a mini version of this dream project I’ve always wanted to do, which is how to cook without recipes. So I’m teaching people. Basically, it’s just like making cooking easy. So giving them the right tools and taking the principles that I learned as a personal chef, as a caterer, and putting them into like a home kitchen, and making it flow really magically so it’s fun for them.

Lisa:

And can I just say, I was working on the Facebook Lives when you had, in the beginning in the… You have such a knack and it’s just so engaging and compelling. I’m not a fan of cooking. I do not like cooking. And yet, I ended up making granola bar – apple crumble things.

Amy:

Great. That’s right. You posted. That’s right.

Lisa:

And I loved your tip around frozen ginger and how it’s easy to shred. I was blown away. Because you had come to the workshop in December.

Amy:

So I did that and then I launched the class. And so I did one week, which was great. And I brought in… I set a goal for how much money I wanted to bring in that week, and I did it. And then people were posting. People were posting making my recipes. And so look at this. I don’t know if you can see it. See there, it’s like an iPad in a kitchen?

Lisa:

Yeah.

Amy:

So, one girl posted a video of herself cooking. It was hilarious. And I looked, in her video, she’s very comical, was her iPad with me on it on her kitchen counter.

Lisa:

That’s so f-ing amazing.

Amy:

And if I wasn’t tuned in, I would have missed it. Because it always shows up in a slightly different way. And so, boom. I was like, oh my God. So many things were lining up.

And then, okay, so this one was I wanted to become strong mentally and physically. And so, in the summer, I was hit with a very personal thing that’s happening in my family. So it’s requiring me to get super strong mentally. At the same time, it was really funny, is that when COVID hit, it was just… We were all grasping for something to make us feel sane, some sort of routine or something regular. My gym started doing online classes. And so every morning I woke up at 8am and just did the class. I’ve never worked out every single day in my life. And now, I’m looking, and my back is becoming more and more like that. It’s very cool.

Lisa:

That IS cool.

Amy:

But again, it was just unexpected. Like it just happened.

Lisa:

You never would have predicted that it would have been done in that way.

Amy:

It wasn’t like, okay, I’m going to get strong. I’m going to make myself go to the gym every day. It was like, wow, the entire world is upside down. This is one thing that makes you feel connected because they did them live. I actually felt like I was with other people. And I would just do it every morning to feel connected, which was very cool.

So in here, self-confidence is a superpower. Once you start to believe in yourself, magic starts happening. And that’s what’s happening.

Lisa:

Yeah. And I mean, by you going live on Facebook, that must have taken a lot of pushing through some discomfort in the beginning.

Amy:

After I created this, I created a little mantra to go with it. I wonder if I have it here. I don’t know if it’s a mantra, but it was a little… Oh yeah. This is crazy.

So this was supposed to be in relationship to COVID and that experience. So it’s like, “I decided that this is the best f*cking thing to happen for me and for my family. All of my dreams are being handed to me through this gift; the opportunity to build my tribe. This is like community. My business, my financial success, the opportunity to bond with my children and master the art of peaceful parenting. The opportunity to nurture and grow a new relationship with my husband. The opportunity to create structure and routines, self-care that will enable us all to thrive. My time is now. I am gifted to be a gift. I am ready to be free. I’m ready to be me. Thank you”.

So that came out of this, but all of that stuff is happening just in a completely different way than I thought. But because I was so clear on this and then I wrote something to go with it, even though it’s happening in an upside down way to what I imagined, I can trust.

Lisa:

Yes, yes.

Amy:

I can have faith that this is just part of the path. And the universe always answers in an unexpected way. And in a way that doesn’t necessarily deliver in a way that is recognizable to what you were thinking it would be delivered as. But it still gets you to your goal, if that makes sense.

Lisa:

I love it. And I think it’s important that you weren’t ever grasping at it having to happen in a certain way. Once you set it and put it out there with the trust and inspired action, those two things coming together is how it was co-created for you. Because if you were always hanging on to one specific outcome and it had to happen in a certain way, that’s focusing on the wrong thing.

So yeah, this is so cool. I really appreciate you sharing this. I thank you.

Amy:

I love it. I’m just so happy. I think I’ll be due soon to do a new one, just to kind of refine. Like now that I am the swirl of this. So maybe more clarity. So yeah, I’ll be signing up for one of the classes soon.

Lisa:

Great.

Amy:

The quality of yours. Like yours just focuses right in, in such a great formula you have. And I think that’s why I got the results so fast.

Lisa:

That’s amazing. Thank you. Well, I appreciate it. And I thank you for your time. I kept getting signs…

Amy:

I’m glad you did, because I wanted to just tell you because I’ve been so excited about it. When I looked at it and I was like, oh my gosh, it’s all coming true. But in like a totally different way than I… But it is coming true. It is, it is. So I had to trust. These crazy changes are just a leap of faith, really in trust, and belief in this and belief in myself.

Lisa:

Very good. You are like a star student of how this works. I can’t wait to share the way you made it work for yourself. So that’s fantastic.

Amy:

Yeah. All right. Thank you.

Lisa:

Good luck with everything.

Amy:

Thank you.

Lisa:

You’ve got a lot going on.

Amy:

Thank you. I appreciate it. And I can’t wait to create the new one with you.

Lisa:

Cool. Awesome. All right. Thanks so much, Amy. Enjoy your Friday.
